Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book studies the lex Iulia municipalis, an incomplete text found on a large bronze tablet at Heraclea in southern Italy in 1732. The tablet contains four parts which are likely to have been part of four separate laws rather than a single piece of legislation. The author brings his decades-long research to bear on a close study of the text which he places firmly within the context of Caesar's dictatorship. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
