Al piatto anteriore la data di stampa e' 1850, al frontespizio 1849. Il testo e' su due colonne, in una l'Autore enumera le profezie ebraiche e a destra i fatti storici che si compirono. Come precisa l'Autore nella dedica a Boncompagni e alla moglie, la contessa Pullini, si tratta di un libro 'elementare' che intende 'rendere chiaro e privatissimo all'intelletto della gioventu' il fatto divino delle profezie'. Aporti, costretto ad abbandonare Cremona, e scoraggiato dalle sorti in cui versava l'Italia, cerco' consolazione nelle Sacre Scritture, volgendo in particolare lo studio ai profeti poiche' in essi e' possibile cogliere 'il disegno di Dio'. Un bollo al titolo e alla fine e etichetta applicata della biblioteca degli Oblati (con attestazione di liberatoria alla vendita allegata). Una firma al titolo di Carlo Richett. Professore di filosofia teologica al Convitto nazionale di Torino negli anni della pubblicazione di questo volume. Legatura moderna in tutta tela verde con tassello di titolo al dorso. Condizioni molto buone per questa edizione originale del volume più famoso di Ferrante Aporti, il grande pedagogista italiano (1791-1858) che fu anche senatore del Regno di Sardegna.
