Sir Ross Macpherson Smith, KBE, MC & Bar, DFC & Two Bars, AFC (4 December 1892 - 13 April 1922) was an Australian aviator. He and his brother, Sir Keith Macpherson Smith, were the first pilots to fly from England to Australia, in 1919.

Armee marschierte er über das neutrale Luxemburg in Frankreich ein; 1916 vor Verdun, 1917 Führung des XXI. Armee-Korps beauftragt, dass zu diesem Zeitpunkt an der Ostfront zum Einsatz kam. 1918 mit dem Orden Pour le Mérite ausgezeichnet. Im April 1919 wurde Oven dann mit der Leitung der militärischen Operationen zur Niederschlagung der Münchner Räterepublik betraut.
