Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book offers a comprehensive history of the medical use of topical water treatments from antiquity to present times. The author, a medical doctor, has meticulously compiled documentation of water's use as a healing agent for both internal and external afflictions. Topical applications of water, the author argues, are a vastly underutilized yet highly effective and versatile therapeutic resource for practicing surgeons. The author examines water's use during wartime, when its necessity led to many medical breakthroughs. The book chronicles the evolution of water's use in the treatment of surgical wounds, from battlefield triage to modern-day operating rooms, demonstrating how water treatments have adapted alongside surgical advancements. This book serves as a valuable historical reference, and an argument for the wider adoption of water's therapeutic potential in treating surgical wounds. The author's meticulous research and historical perspective provide a timely and insightful look at a promising and cost-effective treatment modality. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
