Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Bright and clean pages with light tanning to text block edges. Binding is firm throughout with minor thumb-marking. Notable scuffing to front endpaper. Boards have light edge wear with minor corner bumping. Mild crushing to spine, with mild markings overall.

With the bookplate of the late Christopher Brinson, a collector of books on magic, researcher and author of works on magic (Arcady Press). The bookplate shows a sphinx with pyramids in the background and conjuring tools in the foreground including a magic wand. Chipped at spine otherwise very good.
