Es wird der Versuch unternommen, die Entwicklung und Verlauf der beiden sozialen Bewegungen durch die Theorien der sozialen Bewegungen zu analysieren und zu begründen. Als Letztens zielt diese Arbeit mit der Rekonstruktion der türkischen 68er Bewegung auf einen Beitrag zu der bestehenden Forschungslücke ab.
