Con su excelente visión para el encuadre fue autor de las concretas y golpeadoras portadas de colecciones de quiosco, como la popular "Enciclopedia Pulga" (Germán Plaza; 1952-1959).Sobre la COLECCION::A comienzos de la década del cincuenta, Ediciones G.P., de Barcelona, España, inició la publicación de una original colección de pequeños grandes libros de 7x10 cm. Estos fueron promocionados con el lema de "El saber no ocupa lugar", y nunca mejor dicho, pues en las primeras páginas se publicitaba el porqué de dicho reducido tamaño: Usted, como todo el mundo, desea leer, pero los libros son caros. No los de la Enciclopedia Pulga. Con menos dinero que el que usted gastaría en el alquiler de un libro mediocre, tendrá en su poder los maravillosos volúmenes de la Enciclopedia Pulga, que conservará siempre. Pero al contrario de lo que pudiera pensarse de una edición tan modesta, los libros no eran de contenidos banales, pues la colección desempeñó una labor educativa considerable, ya que los relatos aportaban diversos estilos, géneros y autores, que por el módico precio de 1'50 pesetas, inculcaron en los niños y jóvenes de la época, un inicio y una entrada al fabuloso mundo de la literatura. Historia, viajes, biografías, grandes relatos, ciencia ficción, cine, teatro, ópera y una variedad de temas, la convirtieron en la predilecta de la juventud. Sobre el autor:: Massimo Taparelli, marqués de Azeglio (Turín, 24 de octubre de 1798--15 de enero de 1866), fue un escritor, pintor, patriota y político italiano.Marqués y político de orientación liberal moderada, primo de Cesare Balbo, fue primer ministro del Reino de Cerdeña entre 1849 y 1852. Durante su vida se dedicó también a la pintura y a la literatura, como escritor político y también como novelista. Se casó con Giulia, hija de Alessandro Manzoni.Entre sus obras más famosas se pueden citar Héctor Fieramosca (1833), que tuvo un gran éxito, y Nicolás de'Lapi (1841). En sus últimos años de vida, que pasó en el Lago Mayor, se dedicó a la redacción de sus memorias, publicadas de modo póstumo con el título de Mis recuerdos en 1867.Muchos de sus cuadros, en especial paisajes de inspiración romántica, se conservan en la Galleria d'Arte Moderna de Turín.D'Azeglio murió en Turín en 1866. Neatly written and signed 'C. Cavour'. Cavour begins by taking up an offer by the unnamed recipient, by asking him to convey a letter to his rival…Massimo Taparelli, Marquess of Azeglio (1798-1866), Prime Minister of Sardinia. He hopes that on the recipient's return from London he will employ his pen ' con quell'efficacia che le e propria' in the service of the cause of unification of Italy, by writing in the most powerful 'organo de' pubblicita' which has ever existed [The Times?]. He ends with good wishes for the journey. The letter reads: 'Preg. Sig. | Approfittando della gentile Sua profferta le mando que' compriegata una lettera pel Marchesa d'Azeglio. | Spero che al tuo ritorno da Londra [?] la penna per patrocinare con quell'efficacia che le e propria la causa dell'unificazione d'Italia nel piu potente organo de' pubblicita che abbia mai esistito | Le auguro bouon viaggio e le [?] gli atti della distinta mia Stima.'.
