His contribution to a pioneering country was much wider including introducing printing, also a botanist and explorer as well as one of NZs early politicians. He became a fluent speaker of Maori and translator. Green cloth bound hardcover, lightly faded spine, faded former owner name in ink on front end paper. 494 pages with plates and maps.
