Light bumping to the extremities. A small amount of loss to the head of the spine. Boards are a little discoloured with light marks. Front hinge is strained. Institutional labels to the paste downs, and a bookplate to the front paste down. Front endpaper is detached and chipped. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and generally clean with scattered spots. The occasional institutional stamp, including to the title pages. Good Only. book.

Title chipped and repaired, last page of ads worn, scattered foxing (heavier at start and end), but very clean otherwise. Though styled the Second Edition because of Baretti's debt to Giral Delpino's 1763 work, this is the first of the Baretti and substantially different from earlier works (including a great number of words added from Baretti's friend Samuel Johnson's dictionary). 2 parts in one volume, unpaginated.
