Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. Step into the captivating world of this 19th-century novel, where tragedy and love intertwine against a backdrop of Italy's tumultuous past. The author paints a vivid tapestry of the era, using historical events to illuminate the plight of its characters. At the heart of the story lies Pia de' Tolomei, a young woman unjustly imprisoned by her husband, Nello. As she languishes in her desolate confinement, the specter of infidelity haunts Nello, driving him to an act of unspeakable cruelty. The novel explores the themes of love, loyalty, and the destructive power of jealousy, delving into the complex emotions that bind us. Through its rich prose and evocative imagery, this book offers a poignant meditation on the human condition. The author's masterful storytelling transports readers to a bygone era, shedding light on the enduring struggles and triumphs of the human heart. A timeless and moving tale, it resonates deeply with our own experiences of love, loss, and the search for redemption. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. …

Taglio superiore dell'opera riccamente dorata.
