Reprinted from the Bath Herald and printed at the Herald Office North Gate, Bath (1864). There are but four copies on the OCLC WorldCat and all are to be found in West Country libraries. Double column, small font. Includes a short introduction, a report of the areas affected by the flood, including 'Midnight in the Dolmeads; Distressing Scenes', 'Corn Street, Milk Street, and Avon Street', and 'Southgate Street', and then 'Batheaston', 'Radstock', and 'Midsomer Norton'. The photographs, done by Perren, show the 'Dolemeads and Association Cricket Fields', 'The Old Bridge', 'Southgate Street', and 'The Quay from the Old Bridge'. Lightly aged, with some spotting and wear, as may be anticipated. Remains in remarkably good condition.

The Bath Chronicle and Herald, a weekly newspaper now known as the Bath Chronicle, was a result of the merge between the Bath Herald and the Bath Chronicle in 1925.This pictorial supplement for 1927 to 1928, published by the Bath Chronicle and Herald, contains 126 illustrations, mostly monochrome reproductions of photographs. Alongside the illustrations are descriptions of the architecture, shops, memorials, parks and gardens, with historical information about the city.Included are photographs of 150th anniversary of the Bath and West Show, the opening of the Kingswood School extension by H. R. H. The Prince of Wales, and Lansdown Racecourse. In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Externally, smart, with very light sunning and chipping to the extremities. Small loss to the head and tail of the backstrip. Tear to the head of the front joint. Staples are rusting, causing tearing to the first couple of leaves. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, apart from a faint mark to the first page. Good. book.

The twenty-eighth thousand of this scarce work in the publisher's original paper wraps. A detailed record of the Great Flood of Bath, and the surrounding areas, from 13th to 15th November 1894. This pamphlet was reprinted from the Bath Herald, by general request, after nearly 100,000 copies of the Bath Herald were sold during the week of the flood. This pamphlet offers a wealth of information, with details of the flooding on each affected street of Bath, as well as the flooding in surrounding areas such as Batheaston, Twerton, Chippenham, Corsham, and further afield. With four reproductions of photographs. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, wraps are detached from the textblock but remain intact. Tear to the fold of the wraps; the front and rear wrap may separate with further handling. Small closed tear, and small loss to the bottom corner, to the front of the wrap. Staples are rusting. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for light age toning to the first and last page. Small hole to the first couple of pages, not affecting the text. Good Only. book.
