Beaucé, Demoraine, Lemercier, Rossigneux, Godefroy, Beaumont, Girardet, Varin, etc. Le plan de Paris annoncé dans le titre n'a jamais été publié ~ Demi cuir de l'époque, dos lisse, titre et décoration dorés au dos, tranches rognées ~ 397+[7]p ~ 28x18x3cm. ~ Nom de l'auteur frotté au dos, lég. déchirures du papier de la couverture aux coins, rares et très minces rousseurs. (Anvers) (Antwerpen), Comité National de Secours et d'Alimentation, Province d'Anvers, 1915, in-4°, 75 pp, with several groundfloors and handcoloured designs of temporary houses to replace war devastated houses. Bound in full leather , blindtooled, no title on spine, original wrapper bound in. The wrapper consists of very heavy…board like paper. A caption on the back wrapper stated that this paper is a specimen of the material used for the inner lining of the temporary houses. Fine condition. Published during the First World War this is a rare account of large scale efforts to relieve the acute scarcity of housing provoked by the German attack on Belgium. Already in 1915, when the war was only a few months old in the province of Antwerp 245 temporary constructions were erected.
