The diversity of the contributions to this book presents a wide selection of the possible topics, authors, and novels that one might hope to find included, the editors are well aware of many aspects that are not covered or that are only dealt with briefly. For one, American and Canadian literature are terms which comprehend a wide range of literatures which have not been covered here.
