Ses livres pour enfants ont joui d'une grande popularité et ont été très souvent réimprimés tout au long du XIXesiècle.Henry Gerbault (1863-1930) était un dessinateur, aquarelliste, peintre et affichiste français, également auteur pour le théâtre.
