The covers are in great shape w…ith light rubbing to the corners and slightly indented spine caps. The binding is square and tight. There is minor abrasion to the front flyleaf, while the interior pages are clean and unmarked. A former owner's inkless debossed seal is present on the title page. Portions of the dust jacket are included for completeness and personal interest, though it is missing about two inches from the upper rear face and the upper edge of the front, which is why it is listed as not having a jacket. This book explores the study of human consciousness, a field once considered taboo in psychology but now gaining renewed scientific respect. It is the first work to present a broad scientific perspective on a variety of special states of consciousness, offering insight into altered states and their implications.
