Waldheim war von 1971 bis 1981 Generalsekretär der UNO, 1986-1992 österr. Bundespräsident.- Der aus Kroatien stammende naive Maler und Grafiker Ivan Lackovic (Batinske1932 - 2004 Zagreb) ist berühmt für seine winterlichen Dorfansichten, die er sehr detailliert und sensibel darstellt. Auch nach seiner Umsiedlung 1957 nach Zagreb malt er poetische Szenen seines Heimatdorfes Batinska. Seine Werke hängen weltweit in namhaften Museen und Galerien wie der Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rom, im Brooklyn Museum in New York oder im Museum des 20. Jahrhunderts in Wien.- Mit Texten u.a. von Bozo Biskupic, Jean-Pierre Bouvet, Jean-Louis Depierris, Josip Depolo, Margherita Guidacci, Anatole Jakovsky, Philippe Roberts-Jones, Nevio Jori, Jean-Dominique Rey, Pierre Seghers, Giuseppe Ungaretti und Giancrlo Vigorelli.- ". Walter Koschatzky sagt - und damit trifft er ins Schwarze -, daß 'die Linearität der Zeichnung dem malerischen Sinn geradezu zuwiderläuft'; bei Lackovic ist dieser Gegensatz schöpferisch überwunden."
