Wi…th an estimated 25,000 speakers, Shehri is one of six endangered languages that are spoken by small populations inhabiting the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen, Oman, and Socotra Island. - Includes a scholarly introduction to Shehri phonetics and grammar as well as a Shehri-German glossary in Latin type. Further, a group of folk tales in Shehri with German translation, allegedly dictated by a native Shehri speaker, some of which survive in the Mehri language as well.
