Two vintage black-and-white studio still photographs from the 1958 film. Based on the 1949 Fredric Brown novel. One of the weirdest and most wonderful of the Columbia B-noirs, a very faithful adaptation of Fredric Brown's byzantine mystery novel, with Anita Ekberg (pre-"La Dolce Vita") put to good use as a dancing siren, and the Red Norvo Trio performing icy strains of modern jazz both live and in the soundtrack. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with a tiny chip to the edge of one photo.

Vintage reference photograph from the 1954 film, showing actor Ronald Reagan brandishing his pistol. Annotations in manuscript ink and pencil on the verso, along with a partial RKO stamp. One of director Allan Dwan's best films, a beautiful, sprawling Technicolor Western that put Barbara Stanwyck back in the saddle. From the archive of the PIX Agency, an American photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969. 7.5 x 9.5 inches, archivally mounted in a white mat measuring 11 x 14 inches. Robinson, the other showing Robinson alone. Printed mimeo snipe affixed to the verso of one photograph. Based on Max Ehrlich's 1952 novel "Spin the Glass Web." A claustrophobic tale of a happily married television writer who becomes entangled in an affair with a femme fatale at his workplace. The second Universal-International film directed by Jack Arnold in 3-D (the first being the 1953 science fiction classic "It Came from Outer Space), and likely the first film noir shot in 3-D. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. 8 x 10 inches.
