[4], 53 pages. Brown cloth slipcase, H 30cm x L 22.5cm, rubbed with some soiling and light stains; side title panel's gilt lettering still reasonably bright but certainly not vibrant. No dust jacket (presumably as issued). Hardcover: H 28.5cm x L 22cm. Brown cloth boards lightly rubbed; gilt stamped spine lettering quite dulled but still legible; bump at spine head. Introduction by Joseph Blotner. Afterword by Louis Daniel Brodsky. Main text features facsimile reproductions of two typescripts presented by William Faulkner to a childhood friend Myrtle Ramey in December 1924. The first reproduced typescript of fourteen pages, titled MISSISSIPPI POEMS, contains twelve poems, nine of which appear in altered form in other publications but with the other three published in this limited edition book for the first time. In the second typescript, a seven page essay titled VERSE, OLD AND NASCENT: A PILGRIMAGE, Faulkner explains his "view of poetry, his personal sources of inspiration and his purpose" (quoted from the publisher's laid-in promotional card).
