In very good minus dark green and black decorated, bevel edged boards with gilt titles to front and gilt title field to spine with green titles. The boards are flat and firm, slightly marked and with bumped spine ends and corners. The pale yellow end papers are a little marked; there is a prize plate on the front paste down. The text block is printed in two columns and extensively illustrated in black and white by Princess Louse, Henry Furniss, J. Watson Nicol, W. H. J. Boot, S. Reid, G. Morton and Others. The cut edges are in shiny gilt and the pages are tightly bound, straight and with light foxing to some pages. Not annotated. Very good minus condition. Rare edition. Heavy.
