Peter Heinrich Brincker (1836-1904) was a missionary of the Rhenish Missionary Society in German South-west Africa who translated the New Testament and the Psalms into Herero. With the signature of Alice Werner to the front endpaper, the stamp of the Editorial Library B.F.B.S. and a pencilled note stating that this was bought from Dr. Werner's estate in August 1935. Spine faded, a very nice signed copy of the first edition in the publisher's red cloth. We have been selling antiquarian books on Africa, Oceania, archaeology, anthropology, travel and the ancient world for over forty years.
