When he's framed for murder, Dr. Thorndyke must confront his own psychiatric condition, "high anxiety," in order to clear his name. An homage to the films of Alfred Hitchcock, with parodies of famous Hitchcock scenes from The Birds, Psycho, and Vertigo. High Anxiety was nominated for a Golden Globe. Included is a copy of Millimeter Magazine, December, 1977, featuring a cover article about the making of High Anxiety in which he discusses how closely he worked with Alfred Hitchcock during its production. A color photograph of Brooks and Hitchcock taken at ChasenÕs Restaurant in Hollywood, a favorite of HitchcockÕs, is on the front cover.
