Grey cloth covered boards with black titles and illustration to the front cover and black titles to the spine, with the dust jacket. Book condition very good plus, corners and spine ends a little rubbed, front hinge loose, offsetting from a bookmark on the front free end-paper, pages are very clean throughout. Dust jacket condition fair, large part missing from the top edge of front panel including most of the word "Jungle" part missing from lower edge of front panel also including the author's surname and this has gone round to the lower 3cm of the jacket spine, top edge of spine also chipped away, pieces missing from the upper and lower edges of the rear panel also, rear panel printed with a list of the publisher's other titles of the same genre, front panel illustration is of an elephant charging past a tent with a boy in it who is trying to escape to safety. Jacket is now preverved and is not price clipped, price 6/6 net. There are four full page illustrations plus the dust jacket illustration by Major-General H.J.P.
