Spines are quite cracked, half of red label on volume 2 is missing. Both front and back boards have come apart on volume 1. Both are quite loose on volume 2 a…lso. Page edges are marbled, as are the endpapers. Small ref. label to front pastedown (2cm by 3cm). Neat pen inscription to endpaper on both volumes. Pages are tight in binding. Some mild foxing to endpapers. Volume 1 has label stuck to back of frontispiece page, with `G. D. Leslie R. A.` wrote on. Small purple stamps to some pages, saying `The property of boots booklovers library`. Also enclosed is a hand written compliment slip by a previous owner to another previous owner, dated 1929. Numerous illustrations, photographs, and drawings etc (illustratore).
