Very fine book in full dark blue morocco leather with gilt outline to covers and bright gilt college escutheon and motto to front; spine with six bays, one with gilt titles and five with a small geometric gilt centrepiece and also the date 1909 to the lowest; bands margined with gilt lines…. Internally fine; presentation plate and date 1929 to paste down [which may be the date of the binding]; all edges gilt. A most handsome copy of these famous works in lovely condition and with some fine illustrations. Cruikshank W Turner Stothard Hornsey Mulready (illustratore).
