Attivo in Veneto ed in particolare a Vicenza, dove lavorò a stretto contatto con Bertotti Scamozzi ed in particolare con i suoi fondamentali studi critici palladiani, progettò e costruì numerosi palazzi e chiese per i quali ottenne lodi incondizionate dal Milizia e si meritò l'iscrizione alle maggiori Accademie artistiche del tempo. Le splendide tavole che adornano l'opera, sono disegnate da Giuseppe Barbieri, Vincenzo Brunello, Vincenzo Fadiga, Giovanni Alvise Pigazzi ed incise per lo più all'acquatinta con precisione e finezza da Antonio Mugnon, Giuseppe Rossi e Giuseppe Dall Acqua.
