Lieutenant General Sir Walter Campbell, (1864 1936) was a British Army officer who served as Quartermaster-General to the Forces. A charming second edition, bound in calf leather. Containing seven full plates, including frontispiece. Collated. In a full calf binding, with gilt title and decoration to the spine. Externally, very smart. Some very light rubbing to the extremities. Marbled paper to pastedowns and endpapers. "Sir Percival Scrope Marling" bookplate to front pastedown. "Alan Thornton Witney Oxon" bookplate to recto of front endpaper. Blind stamp to verso of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very light marking to endpapers. Signed by Sir Percival Scrope Marling on preface and page 1. Very Good. book.
