Sheet_music. [6]p., unfastened 12x9 inch leaves (textual cover, a blank, 3-5 the musical notation with lyrics, terminated with music advert; item cover is inconspicuously faded and bears a rubberstamp by its San Francisco distributor (Buckner, on Clement St.), backcover ads unaffected, interior pristine without any dust or markings. Very good exemplar. The endorsing line-up of celebrity lovers of Cantinflas is truly impressive, from Chevalier and Crosby to Kim Novak and Sinatra; unclear if these folk made vignette appearances in the film, or are simply fans.

Softcover. Condizione: Very Good+. Second Edition. [modest edgewear to covers, front cover slightly curled]. INSCRIBED and SIGNED on the front endpaper: "Cordialmente / Cantinflas." A novelization of the 1967 satirical political film of the same name, in which Cantinflas plays a fictional Latin American country's ambassador to an also-fictional communist country. (Text in Spanish.) NOTE regarding the signature and inscription: although it may appear at first glance to be printed, the verso of the page (at least to my eyes) shows some traces of pen-point indentation; if it HAD been printed, it would presumably have been so in every copy, and yet none of the copies currently offered online make any mention of a printed signature. (NOTE also that although it's well-known that "Cantinflas" was merely the author's stage name (full name Mario Fortino Alfonso Moreno Reyes, usually rendered simply as "Mario Moreno"), on the title page of this book it's printed as "Mario Moreno Cantinflas.") Signed by Author.

Fotografia
Vintage contact sheet from the 1956 film, showing four images taken on the set. Two images show producer Mike Todd, with the other two showing actors Shirley MacLaine, Cantinflas, David Niven, and Robert Newton. Based on Jules Verne's 1873 novel, and the first American adaptation (after Richard Oswald's 1919 German film), about two men who make a high-stakes bet that, using new modes of transportation, they can circumnavigate the globe in 80 days. The second film produced in Todd's proprietary 70mm Todd-AO widescreen process, preceded by "Oklahoma!" in 1955. Nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning five, including Best Picture and Best Screenplay. Shot on location in Japan, England, California, New Mexico, Thailand, Spain, Colorado, Paris, China, Oklahoma, and Bangladesh. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, moderately edgeworn.
