Aggiungi al carrello2pp., 4to. Printed on the same side of one piece of shiny art paper, folded to make a bifolium. Aged and stained, with wear and slight loss to extremities. Photograph of Russell beneath title, alongside 'Sonnet | To W. Clark Russell', reprinted 'From "English Sea Pictures." By Julia D. Young, Author of "Barham Beach, the President's Poem." - New York.' The author laments that '[i]n this country, it is not the fashion to ennoble those who really do something for their time and generation', such as Russell, whose 'stupendous output' consists of 'fifty-seven books everyone [sic] of them good'. The article concludes: 'Of a surety is such a hero a national asset, and the more we think of the subject, the greater is our admiration for that skipper of Calcutta, who first called our attention to the fact. May the fates be kinder to the stricken writer, and may he long be spared to wield his able pen. The nation can better spare many more-advertised and gaudily-decorated patriots, than can it Mr. W. Clark Russell - a citizen of the universal world.' No other copy of this offprint traced, either on OCLC WorldCat or on COPAC.
