Hardcover. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. November 1921 SECOND PRINTING (same month as first printing) of First UK Edition. Original blue cloth with red lettering spine. This book is the same format as the first printing in every way except for the printing information on the verso of the title page and the 6 pages of ads at the end. It has the same contents (other than the aforementioned differences), same binding, same cover stamping, same size as that of the first printing. The book has clean covers, cracking between frontispiece photo and title page which is common for the early printings (but binding is solid and not loose or shaken (nowhere close to breaking apart), puckering on front cover near spine but no puckering on spine or rear cover (puckering of cover cloth for the early printings is very common), some browning to EPs but no browning on text pages, some minor foxing spots towards front of book but most pages free of foxing, complete with all pages and maps (but lacking the rare dust jacket as previously noted), maps are in fine condition except the largest one has a 3cm tear at the bottom area of the stub, old owner name neatly penned to FFEP otherwise no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, rubbed spine ends with 1cm tear bottom spine cloth, 4cm wrinkle to cloth lower area of spine. A fairly nice example of this book which often suffers significant condition problems. The book measures 229mm tall x 155mm and has 283 + [1] + [6] pages, frontis portrait with tissue guard, folding hut plan, 2 folding and 1 double-page maps. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
