(First published in 1542 by Girolamo Scoto, in Venice). This is thought to be the book which Shakespeare's Hamlet was reading and quoting in the play, "To Be or Not to Be" comes from this book, which went through several translations in English: (First edition: Cardanus Comforte translated into Englishe.And published by commaundement of the right honourable the Earle of Oxenford. Anno Domini 1573.Imprinted at London in Fleetestreate, neare to S.Dunstones Churche by Thomas Marshe. -Translated by Thomas Bedingfield- 1573. 3. Petri Alcionii De Exilio. Pietro Alcionio (or Petrus Alcyonius) (c. 1487 1527) was a Venetian humanist and classical scholar under the patronage of Pope Clement VII. He is known as a translator of Aristotle. He was wounded during the Sack of Rome in May 1527, and died later that year. A great book in good condition, with yellowed due to the quality of the paper. Ex libris Rika Collart".
