The albums have some slight surface wear, but overall all three… albums appear fresh and clean (with no obvious flaws), in very good publisher's pictorial portfolio (the portfolio is nicked at tips of corners, rubbed and nicked at fore-edge of covers, else quite fresh and clean). An uncommon set of recordings; OCLC locates only two holdings [UC-Santa Barbara and Library of Congress]. consisting of three(3) original-release phonograph recordings [lacking printed text] [Miller G4; issued as "Disc 730"; album numbers: 6017, 6019 & 6019; also issued with a 12-page pamphlet which is not present here]. Three(3) ten-inch, 78-rpm phonograph records, housed in publisher's illustrated portfolio (as issued): oblong quarto, red cloth spine, illustrated paper-covered boards. It includes a vast amount of information including topographical details, parish boundaries, roads, towns, churches, forts, taverns, crawls (hog pens), settler's names, plantations (with notations on the dominant crops - sugar, ginger, coffee and indigo). Along the coastline there are a few soundings, safe anchorages and navigational hazards noted. A large inset provides a plan of Port Royal that shows the infamous pirate stronghold both before and after the earthquake that destroyed much of the town in 1692.
