Bella ed importante incisione che costituisce la prima veduta del Palazzo di Città ampliato e della piazza delle Erbe delimitata da facciate simmetriche munite di portici dopo l' intervento di Benedetto Alfieri del 1758. Già in epoca romana Piazza Palazzo di Città di Torino era la piazza principale di Jiulia Augusta Taurinorum. Questa piazza, che era il punto d' incontro principale dei cittadini, si trovava all' incrocio tra il decumano e il cardo maximo, le due strade principali della città romana.
