Le livre est divisé en 3 parties, chaque partie est consacrée à un poéte avec un frontispice différent pour chaque partie. Caius Valerius Catullus (84-55 av. J.-C.), Albius Tibulle (54-19 av. J.-C.) et Sextus Propertius (50-15 av. J.-C.)des poétes lyriques et élégiaques romains, édités en leur temps par Avantius. La première édition de ces ouvrages par Nicolas Lenglet Dufresnoy (1674-1755), avait paru en 1742 chez le même éditeur. texte en latin.…

Edges dyed red. Boards tenuously attached by cords with leather splitting over the joints. Shallo chips to leather at corners; light to moderate creasing to leather at spine. Front endpages lacking; extra engraved title page is the first leaf present, folowed by the printed title page. Contents bright and clean with generous margins. Prior owner name along the top edge of the engraved tp has been partly scratched awau leaving a small open abrasion ot the paper, with a lter paper mend tipped on. More recent bookplate to the front pastedown. Contents VG in a Good only binding that would benefit from rebacking. G+ thus .
