In-8°, pp. 11, brossura editoriale grigia a stampa. Ottimo stato. Interessante memoria di storia militare piemontese estratta dalla Rivista d'artiglieria e genio, 1908, vol. III. Il Cavaciocchi (Torino, 1862-ivi, 1925) iniziò la carriera militare nel 1881 come sottotenente d'artiglieria, passando poi allo Stato maggiore e, nel 1897, all'insegnamento nella Scuola di guerra. Si meritò la croce di ufficiale dell'Ordine militare di Savoia come colonnello comandante del 60° fanteria nella guerra italo-turca. Prese parte anche alla Prima Guerra Mondiale, assurgendo ad ancor più elevate cariche militari e dirigendo tra l'altro le operazioni dell'Adamello. Fu rimosso dal comando del XXVI corpi d'armata allorché esso fu travolto dall'offensiv austro-tedesca, concludendo così in modo sfortunato una carriera sino ad allora estremamente brillante. Molte e di grande pregio le sue pubblucazioni di storia e di tattica militare.
