Die Deutung der Lebenswelt im Werk Lucchinis wird skulpturalen Positionen von Alberto Giacometti, R…obert Müller und Hans Josephsohn u. a. gegenübergestellt.Die großformatigen Werkzyklen von Cesare Lucchini (\* 1941) thematisieren die Figur im Raum. Wie aus dem Nebel treten seine Figuren aus dem Bild heraus oder verschwinden in der Farbe und dem Pinselstrich. Lucchini praktiziert Malerei als experimentelle Versuchsanordnung und als einen Prozess der Suche. Ausgehend vom Informel und der Pop-Art traf er in den 1980er-Jahren auf die Malerei der »Jungen Wilden«. Auf diesen Erfahrungen aufbauend, entwickelte er einen Stil, der zwischen Abstraktion und Figuration ausgleicht. Der Katalog gibt Einblick in sein umfangreiches OEuvre, das hier in Teilen erstmals entdeckt werden kann. 208 pp. Deutsch.
