En estas páginas se percibe la evolución poética y la formación de sociedades literarias que dieron cauce a la expresión colectiva. Se escuchan resonancias del regreso a lo clásico chino y, al mismo tiempo, la apertura hacia la poesía vanguardista occidental, con ecos lorquianos enriquecidos por tintes surrealistas y fantásticos que marcaron a toda una generación. La isla, abierta a absorber las corrientes del mundo y a asimilarlas con lo propio, recrea una particularidad que refleja un encanto singular con matices exóticos. Los poetas y las poetas encuentran aquí su terreno: voces que discuten ideologías, exploran la intimidad, evocan la nostalgia, retornan a lo autóctono y proyectan nuevas sensibilidades. En un contexto histórico complejo ?colonialismo japonés, ley marcial, democracia, localismo? Taiwán lo ha experimentado todo y resurge más vivo, con lozanía y coraje, proyectándose hacia el mundo. Bajo esa heteroglosia se abre un jardín poético poliédrico, un caleidoscopio que refleja la belleza de esta isla hermosa y su lugar en la literatura universal. El «Proyecto de promoción de la traducción, edición y difusión de la literatura taiwanesa al español (2023?2026)», auspiciado por el Museo Nacional de Literatura de Taiwán, culminó en 2026 con la publicación de tres obras: Antología de cuentos taiwaneses contemporáneos, Antología de la poesía taiwanesa contemporánea y Breve historia de la literatura taiwanesa contemporánea. La traducción de la literatura taiwanesa se inició en 1990 bajo la planificación del Consejo Nacional para Asuntos Culturales. En 2003 se fundó el Museo Nacional de Literatura de Taiwán, que desde entonces ha promovido proyectos de traducción. Confiamos en que este proyecto trienal impulse un desarrollo sostenido de la literatura taiwanesa en lengua española. Estas tres obras son fruto del esfuerzo intelectual conjunto de traductores, revisores y académicos taiwaneses y españoles, quienes han tejido, desde su experiencia y testimonio, un puente literario y cultural ibero-sino. El año 2026 coincide con los cuatrocientos años (1626-2026) del encuentro histórico entre España y la Ysla Hermosa (Taiwán). Asimismo, se organiza la primera exposición dedicada a Don Quijote de la Mancha y a Miguel de Cervantes, además de un congreso internacional de hispanistas en enero de 2027.
