While these studies have shed light on factors external to the individuals being tested, such as the the nature of the tasks to be performed, the stimuli used, and different measurement methods, they have largely neglected variables that differ between individuals. This work reviews the hemispheric interaction literature and presents a series of studies shedding light on the influence of internal factors, including sex, age, handedness, laterality, practice, attention, and hemispheric activation on the sharing of information between the two cerebral hemispheres. Special attention is given to the influence of anatomical and functional lateralisation as well as corpus callosum structure in the modulation of hemispheric interactions efficiency.

Veduta della cittadina di Blevio, lungo la sponda orientale del lago di Como, ripresa dalla riva. Sulla destra alcune abitazioni che affacciano direttamente sul lago, tra le quali si scorge proprio Villa Artaria, poi Villa Mylius. In lontananza si riconosce il profilo della Chiesa dei Santi Gordiano ed Epimaco. Il primo piano è animato dalla presenza di due donne in abiti tradizionali. L'incisione è impreziosita da una vivace coloritura coeva all'acquerello, rifilata ai margini ed applicata su cartoncino editoriale. Fa parte della serie "Exécuté d'Aprés le Daguerréotype", pubblicate da Artaria a Milano, con titolo riportato a timbro. Assai rara a reperirsi nelle presenti condizioni.
