Cream card wrappers, backstrip and front wrapper titled etc in black. Backstrip and edges of text-block a little toned. Both wrappers and contents slightly bumped at tips of lower outer corners, well away from print of any kind. VERY GOOD copy / sehr guter Zustand.

Einband leicht berieben. - Die polnische Kunstlandschaft, obwohl grundsätzlich auf Rezeption westeuropäisch-lateinischer Kunst eingestellt, bietet eine eigene Vers…ion der Übernahme und Auswertung östlicher Inspirationen. Der Orient im Bereich polnischer Kunst ist, verglichen mit dem restlichen lateinischen Europa, unterschiedlicher Natur: erwachsen aus einer direkten Kontaktaufnahme mit den Ländern des Ostens, vorerst den byzantinisch geprägten, später mit türkischem und persischen Einschlag begünstigte diesen Prozess: ausgetragene Kämpfe und Kriege, die eine Angleichung des Waffenarsenals mit sich brachten, vor allem jedoch ein reger Handel in Friedensperioden mitsamt eines Zustroms von Menschen östlicher Herkunft, die als authentische Träger orientalischer Kunstformen diese auf polnischem Boden heimisch machten. Die polnische Kunst entwickelte sich somit zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt zu einer Gesamterscheinung, in welcher orientalische Elemente deren integralen Bestandteil waren und nicht mit dem üblichen Begriff einer oberflächlichen Mode abgetan sein können.
