Die Beiträge des Sammelbandes erweitern das Postulat eines Situationsarguments auf den Bereich deverbaler W…ortbildungsprodukte. Sie thematisieren den Status von Situationsargumenten anhand nominaler Einheiten mit einem verbalen Bestandteil. Die zentrale Frage dabei ist, wie und mit welchen syntaktischen und semantischen Reflexen ein (verbales) Situationsargument auf Wortebene kompositional in eine nominale Gesamtbedeutung eingehen kann. Anhand der für die verbalen Kategorien etablierten Diagnostiken werden in den einzelnen Beiträgen differenzierte Analysen zur Integration und Interpretation des Situationsarguments deverbaler Kategorien entwickelt. Dabei werden zugleich die unterschiedlichen Formen nominaler Strukturbildung (Derivation, Komposition, Konversion) abgedeckt. Der Band umfasst einen ersten Teil zu Nomen mit verbalem Bestandteil und in einen zweiten Teil zu Partizipien in adjektivischer Distribution. Zur Einführung ist ein Überblicksartikel vorangestellt, der die formalen Grundlagen für eine syntakto-semantische Erfassung von Situationsargumenten skizziert.

To this end, we invite submission of high-quality linguistic studies from all the central areas of general linguistics and the linguistics of individual languages which address topical questions, discuss new data and advance the development of linguistic theory.; Mit der Determinansphrase ist in den letzten Jahren eine alternative Analyse für die Struktur der Nominalphrase entwickelt worden. Der Kopf wird von der funktionalen Kategorie Determinans gebildet, die eine Projektion des Nomens als Komplement nimmt. Der vorliegende Band motiviert diese Analyse im Bezugsrahmen der Rektions- und Bindungstheorie anhand der Bewegung von Konstituenten der Determinansphrase im Deutschen. Aufbauend auf einer Darstellung der Bedingungen für die Zuweisung von Kasus und thematischen Rollen an die Ergänzungen des Nomens wird die Verschiebung von Konstituenten innerhalb der DP und in DP-externe Positionen untersucht. Beschränkungen wie der Complex Nounphrase Constraint oder die Nominative Island Condition werden auf das Zusammenwirken von Barrieren im Sinne der Chomskyschen Theorie und der DP-Struktur zurückgeführt. Dies erlaubt eine Erklärung der Verschiebungsoptionen und Bewegungsverbote im Deutschen.
