This copy is beautifully illustrated with the original copper-plate engravings after the designs of C. Eisen and C.P Marillier. This copy includes a foreword by H. G. Keene.Dorat was a French writer during the 1700s and wrote light verses, comedies, fables and novels. In the publisher's original floral cloth binding. There is some light rubbing to the extremities and a few marks to the rear and front board. There is also some bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages with the some scattered spots throughout. Very Good. book.
