Fore edge of one leaf dust spotted with nicks where had become loose- tipped back in by us with p.v.a., dust spotting to top edge. No cracks to end papers, a few signatures strained indicating the glue to back strip failing but sewing and mull holding and binding generally sound. No other notable faults).

With other sources added. Written by Lieut.-Col. A. F. Mockler-Ferryman, a British soldier. With the publisher's catalogue to the rear. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the extremities with the odd mark to the boards. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound.
