Contents are clean throughout the text but the outer edges have finger soiling and are dusty. Cover boards are in fair shape with heavy wear along the bottom edges. Dust jacket is in good shape but does have some fading to the colors on the spine as well as some creasing and chipping to the edges. Former library book with usual library stamps, tape stains, labels and markings. Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. This seventh print VG- quality Landmark book was published by Random House in 1956. The book has a very slight lean, is clean, free of corner bumps with a tiny edge ding on the top of the rear board; and there is no fading. The spine ends are very lightly bumped with no fabric damage; the bottom edge has no wear and the hinges are strong. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks and stains of any type; page 153-154 has a crease in the fore edge margin, a manufacturing error, that just touches one letter in the text. The paper, including the end pages, is slightly toned but is very flexible. The VG- quality jacket has no fading; it does have very tiny chips at the front corners and at the head and heel of the spine; there is a small tear at the top of the front panel near the front corner. The jacket is intact and is not price-clipped. Both book and jacket list to Landmark #85.
