Frontispiece portrait of author as he was in 1879 and eleven plates. Some fading to the covers, a little foxing to the front and rear leaves, else very good. George Hamilton-Browne (1844-1916) served with Natal Native Contingent during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879.
