The First Edition was a double one, this owing to the large number of copies bespoken whilst the work was in preparation. This Edition is therefore really the Seventh that has left the press in little more than as many years."With sixteen illustrations including thirteen plate illustrations, both monochrome and colour, accompanying the text. This copy has the 'Beaufort Loch Flies' plate and the 'Sun Beam Salmon Flies' plate present, which are not present in all copies.With thirty-two pages of contemporary advertisements to the rear of the work.This is a thorough, illustrated guide by the esteemed fisherman David Foster which was compiled by his sons following his passing. Slight offsetting to the free endpapers. Internally, binding is strained. Pages are a trifle age toned however generally bright and clean barring the odd marginal handling mark and a few spots, heaviest to the outer leaves. Very Good. book.
