Paperback. Condizione: Like New. Unknown. Paperback. Gilt lettering on the cover with an unornamented/plain spine. A circular window has been die-cut within the deep-purple cover to reveal the first, full-color illustration of the "West Window", which is "the circular window above the main entrance door, installed at the time the church was constructed as a memorial to henrietta, the wife of the Rev. J.W. Bedford-Jones, whose vision and planning gave us this beautiful building. This represents Jesus blessing his disciples just before His Ascension." The binding's stitches are an interesting 1.5" to the left of the spine, creating the inner pages to be a unique 5" x 10.75". Illustrated with seven full-color photographs, each protected by a titled, vellum cover. Additional black and white images are also throughout, along with a diagram of the window plan. Listing of contributors at the back. Contains table of contents. 27 pp. A near fine copy, the front and back covers bear minor scratching and small dents, with slightly bumped corners and a mild crease at the front bottom corner. Small snag within the stitching at the front cover head, and the tail of the back cover. Light staining on head, foot and foredge. Pages are clean and bright and are made of a weighted cardstock. A lovely copy. Additional photos available upon request. Full refund if not satisfied.

Prima edizione Copia autografata
Hardcover. Condizione: As New. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. Signed. 160 pages. Published in 2018. Retrospective collection of photographs. One of Arthur Elgort's finest achievements. Limited Cardboard Box Edition of 30 numbered and signed copies. Should not be confused with the regular trade edition, which was published simultaneously with it. They have the same ISBN. Published as a hardcover original only. The Limited Edition is now rare. A brilliant production by Arthur Elgort, Marianne Houtenbos, and Aoife Wasser: Regular-sized volume format. Pictorial hard boards with gilt titles on the cover and spine, as issued. Photographs by Arthur Elgort. Foreword by Wynton Marsalis. Original 14 X 11 inch mounted silver-gelatin print of "Wynton Marsalis New York City, 1992". Labelled Cardboard Box. Printed on pristine-white, thick coated stock paper in Italy to the highest standards. Without DJ, as issued. Presents, in its Limited Edition format, Arthur Elgort's "Jazz". His loving, adoring homage to the great and uniquely American - make that, African-American - art form. Except for the Indian genius-pianist Vijay Iyer (who is brown), every single artist in the collection is black, comprising THE Who's Who of jazz: Wynton Marsalis, James Carter, Roy Haynes, George Benson, Milt Hinton, Walter Blanding, Michael Bowie, David Sanchez, Angelo Debarre, Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins, Joshua Redman, James Moody, Jay McShann, Pat McFeeny, Jimmy Scott, Dorothy Donegan, Illinois Jacquet, Ornette Coleman, Don Byron, Aaron Neville, Dizzy Gillespie, Art Blakey, John McLaughlin, Jesse Davis, Lionel Hampton, Clark Terry, Christian Mcades, Ron Carter, Wycliff Gordon, Sam Newsome, Roy Haynes, Jon Faddis, Roy Hargrove, Max Roach, Jerome Harris, Jack DeJohnette, Michael Cain, Al Grey, Thelonius Monk Jr. , Benny Carter, Jon Hendricks, Stefan Harris, Jervan Jackson, Kenny Baron, Doc Cheatham, Arnett Cob, Tommy Flanagan, Jason Moran, Luther Lafatti, Bradford Marsalis, Delfeayo Marsalis, Jason Marsalis, Kenny Garrett, Olu Dara, Jesse Davis, Buddy Tate, Anton Rooney, Flip Phillips, and Sam Rivers. "The dynamic style that made Elgort such a sensation in fashion photography was directly informed by his love for jazz and dance. Explores for the very first time the creative exchange between the photographer and his musical heroes" (Publisher's blurb). An absolute "must-have" title for Arthur Elgort, Wynton Marsalis, and jazz aficionado/collectors. This is a copy of the Limited Cardboard Box "Collector's Edition", indicated/numbered as such on the print itself. The original 14 X 11 inch mounted silver-gelatin print is very prominently, neatly, and beautifully titled, numbered, and signed in pencil on verso by the photographer: "Wynton Marsalis New York City, 1992 Arthur Elgort 30/30". It is signed directly on the print itself, not on a tipped-in page. As the very last copy, it is also the most desirable and collectible. This title is a contemporary art photography classic. This is one of few copies of the Limited Edition With Print still available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. Please note: Arthur Elgort signed the print, which is what you're really paying for and at an incredibly reasonable price, NOT the book. A rare signed copy thus. 160 plates, 1 original print. One of the greatest photographers of the 20th century. A fine collectible copy. (SEE ALSO ARTHUR ELGORT "PERSONAL FASHION PICTURES" TITLE IN OUR CATALOG) ISBN 8862086083. Signed by Author.
