Sir Astley Cooper (1768-1841) was a British surgeon who made important contributions to otology, vascular surgery, the anatomy and pathology of the mammary glands and testicles, and the pathology and surgery of hernia. This is his work on dislocations and fractures of the joints, in the new edition edited by his nephew Bransby B. Cooper (1792-1853) who was also a surgeon. 32 pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Both hinges are strained with webbing showing, but remain reasonably firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with the odd spot, more so to the front of the volume. Good. Not Stated (illustratore). book.
