Full brown tree calf with plain leather gilt lettered spine with 7 gold bands. Sound clean very good copy with a few marks to leather, front endpaper excised, bookplate of one Cecil Bysho…pp and a note dated 179i in neat sepia ink about the gifting of the book from a Katherine Byshopp. First blank has a modern neat name. Plates and text noticeably clean and bright. Sabin 16584 ( 'The plates are by A.Reid and are early specimens of American art.').
