A false imprint claiming to originate in London but probably printed in Switzerland according to Brunet. Contemporary polished calf, both hinges tender. Old pencilled case-marks to endpapers; a little browning to text block otherwise a very good copy. Old oval stamp to final leaf of 'St Patrick's College, Maynooth', the National Seminary for Ireland. Both volumes are contained in this single binding which collates: [8] pp352. The book is the second edition of a satire on Ortuinus Gratius and the Dominicans at the University of Cologne which is usually attributed to Crotus Rubianus and Ulrich von Hutten.
