Inscribed by author to aristocratic friend reading 'To Lady Romney From an Obscure Poet "Violet Fane" Feb 1891'. Bound in very dark blue leather by F.Bedford. Violet Fane was a British novelist, poet and essayist of Victorian era. Book has been re-spined with black leather which matches in well with the very dark blue leather boards. Gold title lettering and motifs to spine and front cover. A small amount of browning to edges of endpages and some scuffing to boards, otherwise clean. Binding strong. Association Inscription.
